It was one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in Oklahoma. It had an additional campus in Tulsa. The university ceased operations at the end of the fall 2017 semester. Oklahoma Baptist University became owner of the campus for a time and maintained its institutional records, but the campus was returned to its founders, the Benedictines of St. Gregory's Abbey, in 2024.
