- Provide cross-ranking university comparison tools
- Build a comprehensive global university information database
- Support bilingual access in Chinese and English
This site is operated by an editorial team with backgrounds in higher education research and data analysis, organized around the following functions: Editor-in-Chief (responsible for editorial direction and final review), Rankings Analysts (responsible for annual tracking, indicator interpretation, and cross-validation of the four major ranking systems), Institution Data Engineers (responsible for the 30,000+ institutional profiles, alias maintenance, and school identifier mapping), Bilingual Content Editors (responsible for the localization of ranking interpretations, admissions guides, and institutional profiles), and Platform Engineers (responsible for data pipelines, site performance, and accessibility). Team members bring experience in study-abroad consulting, educational data processing, and academic publishing.
We follow these editorial principles to ensure accuracy and neutrality: ranking data is ingested and verified as soon as official publications are released; every ranking entry cites its publisher, edition year, and original source URL so that readers can independently verify our data; cross-system entries for the same institution are automatically aligned and manually reviewed when discrepancies are detected; readers can report data errors at [email protected], and we commit to verifying and correcting them within 5 business days. We accept no paid promotion from any ranking organization, and all content and recommendations are based on public data and independent judgment.
Our data aggregation pipeline has five steps: (1) Acquisition — collecting ranking data from the four major ranking publishers' official websites and public sources via an in-house crawler and import pipeline; (2) Cleaning — normalizing institution names across languages, abbreviations, historical names, and aliases; (3) Matching — establishing global institutional identifiers, and applying fuzzy name matching to link entries from different sources into a unified profile; (4) Alignment — preserving the original scores, indicator weights, and raw positions from each ranking; (5) Presentation — displaying data through interactive tables, trend charts, and comparison cards, with filtering by country, subject, and year. Our database covers 30,000+ global higher-education institutions and 1,200+ ranking editions.
Our ranking data is sourced directly from official publications by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), Times Higher Education (THE), ShanghaiRanking Consultancy (ARWU), and U.S. News & World Report — including their official websites, public datasets, and authorized API endpoints. Institutional metadata is sourced from the official websites of individual institutions. All data undergoes automated validation and manual review.
All ranking data on this site is sourced from publicly available information published by the respective ranking organizations. We are an independent platform with no affiliation to any ranking organization.
