Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, formerly known as Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade, was originally founded in 1960. It is affiliated with the City of Shanghai and funded by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government. It is the only university in East China specializing in international business, dedicated to cultivating talent in international economics and trade.
