The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland is the nation’s centre of excellence for performing and production arts training. We provide specialised vocational education in dance, drama, music, production and screen to prepare the next generation of professionals for the global workplace. Approximately 900 students are currently pursing degrees at RCS across all of our art form specialisms. We were the first conservatoire to be awarded our own degree-awarding powers up to taught Masters level. We work in partnership with prestigious education institutions including the University of Glasgow, the University of St Andrews and the University of Edinburgh. We also work in partnership with the national companies including the National Theatre of Scotland and BBC Scotland to provide students with the very best learning experiences the Scottish landscape has to offer. Based in the heart of Glasgow, RCS is also a busy performing arts venue; we host over 500 public performances each year and welcome audiences of over 40,000 people to our Renfrew Street campus. Additionally, we also teach over 3000 part-time learners every year through our Junior Conservatoire and Short Courses departments.
