A new entry in the QS Best Student Cities ranking, Kazan comes in at joint 102nd this year.
Kazan is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Tatarstan in Russia. It has a population of approximately 1.2 million, of which nearly three percent are students.
The city has two universities featuring in the QS World University Rankings 2022: Kazan (Volga region) Federal University and Kazan National Research Technological University.
