Created on October 7, 1970, Universidad Católica de Cuenca began activities in the face-to-face mode with the careers of Agronomy, Commercial Engineering, Administration and Accounting; and Chemical Engineering. In 1977 I incorporated the careers of Medicine, Nursing; and Jurisprudence, Social and Political Sciences. Currently the face-to-face modality of the Catholic University of Cuenca, distributes its academic offer in 25 undergraduate degrees and 14 postgraduate programs strategically distributed in the Cuenca Headquarters, Azogues Headquarters, Macas Headquarters and the Extensions of Cañar and San Pablo de la Troncal.The University as a fundamental part of its actions in the Organizational Principles that are: Affordability, Accessibility, Adaptability and Acceptability with what it must:
- Regularly provide quality academic services that meet the requirements of applicants and society, as well as the legal and regulatory requirements applicable to Higher Education institutions. - Seek to increase the satisfaction of students and society as a whole through the effective application of an Institutional Development Model that accounts for the complexity of university processes, including those of continuous improvement to ensure the quality of compliance with the requirements of the company and the applicable laws and regulations; - Contribute to the current and future transformation of society.

- Existence of audiovisual media, production units and community support units. - Have a Center for research, innovation and technology transfer with unique laboratories in the area and the country. - Infrastructure and management capacity in postgraduate programs.
